Rick McKay as Johnny Cash

The Ultimate Solo Tribute to The Man in Black

The Sound of Johnny Cash

A fully self-contained show to suit any venue or occasion

With Johnny Cash Revisited fast establiishing itself as the most authentic tribute to The Man In Black, the demand for Rick's portrayal of the country superstar has grown with the show's reputation. Alongside the theatre show, festivals and concerts, Rick is now available to perform for an even wider variety of audiences in venues that would not be able to accomodate a full band.

Rick's solo show includes all the biggest hits of Johnny Cash and even some that are not included in the full show. Plus, there is the option of mixing it up and including some of the classic country and rock 'n' roll songs that Rick has been performing in his shows for many years, including Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones, Hank Williams, Jim Reeves and many more...

Rick's solo show is fully self-contained, including a high quality PA system and a stunningly authentic sound from high quality backing tracks.

Rick requires no more than a space to perform in, and a changing room. Playing times can be adjusted to suit your event to a maximum of 2 x 1 hour spots. You can concentrate on the guests at your event and leave the entertainment side of it in Rick's very capable hands.

On request there is also the option of including Jodie McKay in the role of June Carter Cash. Jodie and Rick have a long established following for their award-winning duo, PURE COUNTRY, having toured throughout the UK and in the USA. Their repertoire is extensive and coupled with their "Johnny & June" show, they can provide an evening you'll be sure to remember for a long time.

Are you a fan of acoustic sessions? When Johnny Cash first began working with producer Rick Rubin on his now legendary "American Recordings" Rubin convinced him to play a low-key acoustic set at Johnny Depp's club, The Viper Room. Just Johnny and his guitar, and his songs. The responce was amazing and introduced Johnny to a whole new era in his long career.

For 15 years Rick McKay performed this way, both here in the UK and in Nashville's "Printer's Alley", where he played a two hour show, 6 days a week. No backing tracks, or any other musical accompaniment, other than his acoustic guitar. Now Rick is combining that experience with his love of Johnny Cash's music to bring you "Johnny Cash "Unplugged". Rick McKay's acoustic tribute to The Man in Black.
